Indonesian Idol Releases Debut Album

Michael Prabawa Mohede or just Mike - winner of Indonesian Idol 2 said, "Life's happiest moment is when we can do something meaningful for someone we love."

Mike's self-titled album, released October 2005, is his meaningful gift to his loved ones, family, close friends and of course his fans that have bestowed him the 2005 Idol title.

The album encompasses various genres -- from pop, R&B, soul, to ballads, arranged by well-known composers such as Yovie Widianto, Andi Rianto, Glenn Fredly, Dewiq, and Harri Budiman.

The first single out is "Semua Untuk Cinta," composed by Hendy Irvan, arranged by DJ Sumantri. The single shows off Mike's vocal prowess, which lies deeply in an R&B vocal exploration and a soulful style of singing.

From the 10 tracks in his album, Mike admits that he has a favorite one, "Sempurnalah Mimpiku," written by Harri Budiman. "The lyrics are similar to my journey in reaching a dream to be a singer," Mike explained. He admits that this song took the longest time to record, because he had to do it several times to make it sound like a choir at the end of it.

"This album is a blessing for me. So many people have supported me along the way. Hopefully people can accept this album," said Mike, ever smiling.
